Beyond our private coaching services, Marsco is deeply committed to serving the neurodivergent community through our Community Interest Company (CIC), officially known as Marsco Neurodiversity Support and Wellbeing CIC.
As a CIC, we are a social enterprise dedicated to using our profits and resources for the public good, directly benefiting neurodivergent children, young people, and their families.
Our Current Impact: "Neurodiverse Youth Wellness" Project (2025/2026)
Our CIC is currently funded by the Highland Community Planning Partnership to deliver the "Neurodiverse Youth Wellness" project at Kingussie High School. This initiative provides tailored, one-to-one coaching to 20 neurodivergent young people aged 11-18. Guided by "Getting It Right for Every Child" (GIRFEC) principles and CAMHS standards, we focus on:
• Personalised One-to-One Coaching: Six structured sessions helping teens understand their unique brain function, build self-esteem, and manage school, friendships, and emotions.
• Supporting Educators & Families: Offering guidance to teachers and providing resources for young people to share with parents/carers, fostering a holistic support network.
• Marsco Clarity Kits: Distributing essential kits packed with tools and resources for continued self-management after coaching.
What young people say…
Lorraine is really, very, very, nice and kind and has a gentle approach. She is fun to be around and meets me at the level of a teenager. I was anxious at the start but soon felt comfortable. The sessions have been relaxing and fun. The material learnt has been very helpful and easy to go through.
I wish I had this service when I was younger as I feel I would be more ahead if I had this help years ago.
I feel a bit better because Lorraine is able to understand what I am talking about. Lorraine is able to relate at times; she is very approachable and calm. Thank you!
I think the sessions have been very helpful. I have really enjoyed being able to talk and understand how my brain works. Lorraine is very kind and has been very helpful.
Our Vision for the Future: Holistic Neurodivergent Support (2026/2027 onwards)
Building on the success of our current work, our vision is to expand into a Holistic Neurodivergent Support Coach role, offering community-led support to entire neurodivergent families and carers. This expanded role aims to:
• Support the Whole Family: Recognising that neurodivergence impacts relationships, communication, and wellbeing across the entire household.
• Offer Flexible, Accessible Support: Sessions will take place in family homes, outdoor spaces, or community venues across Badenoch and Strathspey, removing barriers to access.
• Address Key Life Stages: Providing guidance on challenges through puberty, school transitions, relationships, and even perimenopause.
What Makes Our Approach Unique:
Our work is grounded in both professional expertise and rich lived experience. We integrate:
• Counselling skills, Health & Wellbeing Coaching, and specialist ADHD/Autism-informed approaches.
• Education on the nervous system and self-regulation strategies.
• Practical guidance on housing, benefits, and finances, drawing on 18 years of experience with Highland Council.
• A deep belief in seeing neurodivergent individuals and families as whole human beings, not as problems to be fixed.
